Sand Islands of South East Queensland
South East Queensland has the biggest sand islands in the world. The biggest is Fraser Island located to the north of the Sunshine Coast. Noosa is a popular launching pad into the Cooloola and Fraser Island area.
Day trips and tours to Fraser Island are popular for many international and domestic visitors. To the south is Bribie Island which borders Pumice Stone Passage and framing Moreton Bay are Moreton and Stradbroke Islands.
